Family Fun Night is planned for February 8 which includes hands-on kids’ activities, a Lion Dance performance, Kung Fu demonstrations and more.  The first 300 visitors to Lumagination on Valentine’s Day, February 14, will each receive a goodie bag and a carnation to celebrate the holiday.  Show hours will be 6:00-9:00pm and until 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Doors will open at 6:00pm each night and admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors (62+) and students (13+), $10 for Botanical Gardens members, $6 for kids 3-12 and kids 2 and under are free.  Tickets can be purchased online or at the door throughout the show.

The whole family will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning activities centered around nutrition during Wegmans Family Days on February 18, March 18, April 22 and May 20 from 10am-2pm. Each Family Day has a different theme including; Rainforest Exploration, All About Vegetables, Spring Celebration and Extraordinary Pollinators. These activities are aligned for children ages 4-10 but caregivers for the youngest learners are encouraged to assist with the creations. Admission prices are $11 for adults, $10 for seniors (62+), $9 for students (13+ with ID), $6 for kids ages 3-12, and free for Botanical Gardens members and kids 2 and under.

New Kids’ Make-It, Take-It Workshops are planned for this spring.  An Art Workshop will be held on March 19 and will take kids on several art adventures in the newest exhibit space at the Botanical Gardens.  Kids will create a colorful and creative koi fish through bright oil pastels and delve into fun origami folding. Totally Trees will take place on April 23 to celebrate Earth Week and Arbor Day.  Participants will create a beautiful paper tree sculpture and a colorful tree painting.   These multi-medium workshops are for kids ages 5-15 and participants will complete two pieces of art at each themed session.  These classes are taught by Joan Saba and will be held from 1-3pm.  The fee to participate for Botanical Gardens Members is $20 and $25 for the General Public.  Register online or contact 827.1584 ext. 292.
