The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens announced their annual Poinsettia Exhibit, Poinsettias… Expect the Unexpected, a Garden Railway display, a winter art exhibit, Santa’s Workshop and a dollar admission day to celebrate the season.  These annual family favorites will take place over the next few months at the Botanical Gardens. The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens announced their winter Make-It, Take-It Workshops.  Make-It, Take-It Workshops are extremely popular and some classic seasonal favorites are on the schedule for this winter. The Fresh Conifer Wreath class will take place on December 3 at 12pm, the popular Decorated Boxwood Tree workshop will be held on December 3 at 3pm and the Fresh Holiday Arrangement workshop will be December 22 at 6pm. The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens Society, Inc. announced today that they are working with Above & Beyond Tree Expert Company to remove a Teddy Bear Palm, Dypsis lastelliana and a Carpentaria Palm, Carpentaria acuminata from the Main Palm Dome on October 14.  These palms have matured taller than expected and have outgrown their home at the Botanical Gardens.  Using them as a teaching tool, the Botanical Gardens’ education team plans to repurpose parts of the palms as part of docent training and as additional material for workshops.  Longtime supporters, John and Carol Kociela, generously provided the resources necessary...
