Aralia is a vigorous grower, forming a large clump of foliage which is deer resistant. The plant’s stems and petioles are a dramatic dark purple against the golden-chartreuse color. This cultivar is late to emerge from dormancy in the spring, so wait for it to show and consider underplanting it with early spring bulbs.
