This beard-tongue is easy to grow, requires little maintenance and offers an outstanding display of purple trumpet-shaped flowers. Plant it in full sun and watch the butterflies and hummingbirds visit. The low clump of shiny green foliage is topped with 20” vivid purple flower spikes in early summer.
Excellent low maintenance perennial, especially for hot, dry sites. Will rebloom if deadheaded. Drought tolerant once established. Plant it near golds in the border for a stunning combination.
