Lumagination 2016 Will Captivate Audiences at the Botanical Gardens!

Buffalo, NY - Lumagination is a captivating interactive exhibit that will transform the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens with light, sound and imagination from January 27 through February 20. All ages will delight in this amazing and unique event that showcases the incredible architecture and horticulture collection of the Botanical Gardens. To kick off the fun, a Launch Party is planned for January 26 from 6:00-9:00pm.

The Lumagination Launch Party will flip the switch on Lumagination on January 26 from 6:00-9:00pm. Be the first to see the Botanical Gardens light up after dark with really cool people in a colorful and captivating environment. Tickets include cocktails from Ketel One Vodka, Bulleit Bourbon and Nolet Gin, wine, beer, light appetizers from Tonawanda Castle Catering, a basket raffle, the inside scoop on this amazing show and more!

Launch Party tickets are $30 for Garden members, $35 for the general public and $40 after January 21. Tickets are available online at www.buffalogardens.com or by phone, 716-827-1584 ext. 292. Lumagination, January 27 through February 20, will take visitors on a spectacular walk through the Botanical Gardens to experience creatively themed greenhouses, interactive entertainment and so much more! As guests enter the main Palm Dome they will be greeted with a dramatic mix of choreographed sound and light and move through each greenhouse to delight in exciting combinations of light, music and interactive fun. The desert room presents the searing yellow sun highlighted with red and orange hues and some cowboy surprises. Next on the journey, visitors will be surrounded by lanterns of all shapes, sizes and colors and the Wegmans Family Garden will be full of interactive fun for all ages. The Orchid Fairy House is next, where guests will enter a fairy village full of magic and wonder. Time to hip-it-up in the Magic Disco Room where visitors will transcend into pop-culture mania with rockin’ fun music and crazy fun lights. From here, visitors find themselves in a room that will feature interactive screens that encourages everyone to play games, work together with on-screen images and many more surprises! After all the excitement and stimulation, guests will find a calming waterfall of light. And finally, to cleanse away the hectic week, attendees walk through a thunderstorm of powerful rain and flashes of lightning that will leave a lasting and renewing impression for the week to come.

A truly unique experience… Lumagination will take place Wednesday through Saturday nights January 27 through February 20. Show hours will be 6:00-9:00 pm Wednesday and Thursday nights (last admission ticket will be sold at 8:45pm and the Gardens will close at 9:15pm) and until 10:00 pm on Friday and Saturday nights (last admission ticket will be sold at 9:45pm and the Gardens will close at 10:15pm). Admission doors will open at 6:00 pm each night and admission is $12 for adults, $10 for Garden members, seniors (55+) and students (13+), $5 kids 3-12 and kids 2 and under are free. Tickets are available online at www.buffalogardens.com until January 26 and at the door throughout the show. Garden guest passes, discounts and coupons are not valid during Lumagination. Cameras and mono pods are welcome every night however, tripods are not permitted. Photographer Night on February 2 form 6:00-9:00 pm welcomes professional and amateur photographers only and tripods will be permitted on this night only!
