These art workshops have been designed to bring out participants’ natural creative abilities in a way that is suitable and fun for a variety of skill levels. Introduction to Gelli Plate Printmaking will teach students the basics of gelli plate printmaking at a beginner level. Watercolor Whimsy II is an extension of the popular Watercolor Whimsy workshop and is returning with some newly added techniques. Wild Webbing Watercolor is a workshop for any level watercolor artist that is interested in creating textured backgrounds that can be used in a variety of ways. Majestic Seasonal Trees and Joyful Poinsettias are holiday-themed workshops for an intermediate or advanced watercolor artist looking to create a holiday scene that could be used as a holiday card, a gift for a loved one or to be admired as new holiday decor.

Introduction to Gelli Plate Print Making will be offered on Wednesday, October 21 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Participants will experiment to create vibrant colored prints using acrylic paints, paper, and a gelli plate. Finished prints can be framed, used to make cards, or serve as a background for further painting. No experience is needed for this class taught by Judith Kosinski. The cost of this workshop is $25 for the general public and $22.50 for members of the Botanical Gardens.

Wild Webbing Watercolor will be offered on Thursday, October 29 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Participants will be introduced to textured backgrounds created within a watercolor painting utilizing different materials and pouring watercolor paints over it. The final result can be used as an abstract painting on its own or can be taken a step further by painting a realistic scene on top of it. The cost of this workshop is $25 for the general public and $22.50 for members of the Botanical Gardens.

Majestic Seasonal Trees will be offered on Thursday, December 3 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
