The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is currently undergoing a $1.8 million restoration project.  The scope of work includes restoration of the front façade, window and glass replacement in the Gift Shop and admission areas and repair work on the upper and lower vents in the Palm Dome. Also included will be installation of LED lighting throughout the conservatory and parking lot, foundation repointing and masonry work on greenhouses 1, 4, 10, 11 and 12, interior maintenance on the historic structure, demolition of one of the interior growing houses, major improvements in greenhouse 10 and more.

This project began in July 2019 and is expected to last 12-18 months.  The restoration project on the significant historic landmark is funded through Erie County and New York State. Follow the Buffalo Botanical Gardens on social media and/or check their website for updates.
