The Botanical Gardens Announced Their Great Plant Sale is Available ONLINE with Curbside Pickup For The First Time Ever!

Buffalo, NY - The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is holding their annual Great Plant Sale online for the first time ever.  The Botanical Gardens has been closed to the public since March 2020, and the Great Plant Sale is an extremely important fundraiser for the not-for-profit organization.

This year, The Great Plant Sale is bigger and better than ever! Be the envy of all your neighbors with exciting and unusual plants not found anywhere else such as; exotic Japanese maples, Ginkgo trees, native and drought-tolerant rarities, plants for sun and shade, luxurious hanging baskets and striking house plants. There are over 100 different annuals, many perennials suited for different areas of your garden, interesting shrubs and trees of all different shapes and sizes, expanded vegetable and herb selections, container gardens ready for your outdoor space and gardening supplies available.  The popular Bulb Sale was incorporated into the Great Plant Sale this year and thousands of stunning tulip bulbs will be available for $12 for a bag of 30 bulbs.  As always, the sale also features plants propagated from the Botanical Gardens’ extensive collection.

“As one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and one of our most popular events, it was extremely important to our organization that this sale took place in some way.  Gardening is also an important stress reliever for many right now and we wanted to make as many plants available online as possible. Our amazing team got creative and found a way to make The Great Plant Sale available online and organized curbside pickup.  Fill your cart with plants and support the Botanical Gardens,” said David Swarts, President/CEO of the Botanical Gardens.

All plants and supplies are available for purchase online with curbside pickup.  Customers can choose a specific day and time to pick up their plants at the Botanical Gardens.  Botanical Gardens’ members receive 10% off their order.  Organizers suggest becoming a member or renewing a lapsed membership to save 10%.

The Great Plant Sale is sponsored by buffalo-niagaragardening.com, Buffalo Spree Magazine and Backyard Party Supply.
