The Botanical Gardens Announces Their Annual Great Plant Sale!

The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will hold their annual Great Plant Sale on May 18, 19, and 20. On May 18 the sale will only be open to Botanical Gardens’ members and volunteers from 4-7pm.  The sale will then open to the public on May 19 from 10am-8pm and May 20 from 9am-4pm.

The Great Plant Sale is the best sale of the year, and it is even bigger and better than ever! Be the envy of all your neighbors with exciting and unusual plants not found anywhere else such as; exotic Japanese maples, expanded vegetable and herb selections, native and drought-tolerant rarities, plants for sun and shade, locally grown lilacs, luxurious hanging baskets, perennials, striking house plants and so much more! At the Great Plant Sale, many amenities will be offered including; knowledgeable staff and volunteers to help with purchases and 10% discount for Botanical Gardens’ members.  Plants will be marked according to specific growing conditions so selection will be a breeze. 

The Great Plant Sale is free to the public and takes place in the Botanical Gardens’ Administration building May 18-20. On May 18, Botanical Gardens’ members and volunteers have the privilege to attend the event first from 4 to 7pm. This sale is then open to the public May 19 from 10am to 8pm and on May 20 from 9am to 4pm. There is no admission fee for the sale.  The Great Plant Sale is sponsored by Buffalo Spree, Star 102.5 and Backyard Party Supply.
