Capture the delicate beauty and shimmer of dragonflies in this relaxing, beyond-the-basics watercolor workshop. You’ll learn how to paint graceful dragonfly forms using transparent watercolor techniques, then elevate your artwork with luminous metallic watercolors that catch the light and add an enchanting finish.
This class is best suited for students with a general knowledge of watercolor techniques such as wet on wet, wet on dry, lifting, and how to execute a flat wash.

Meet your instructor, Janet Nye Vedder!
Janet Nye Vedder is a graphic artist, product illustrator, and art educator. She holds a B.S. and Masters Degrees in Art Education. Now retired, after teaching art for over twenty years, she is currently enjoying teaching online and in-person art classes in Galleries and Art Centers throughout New York State. Also, Janet is a Roycroft Campus Artist-in-Residence and founder of the Roycroft Campus Art and Fiber Group. In her spare time Janet enjoys creating art, fly fishing, and walking her two dogs, Scout and Harriet.
