The Peace Garden

Peace Garden Open March through October
Designated as an Honorary International Peace Garden, this beautiful garden offers an outdoor sanctuary to find peace and harmony. Honor someone special in your life by dedicating pavers, benches, planting a tree or creating a new tribute in our Peace Garden. This garden is also the perfect place for special occasion photos and includes a gazebo for wedding vows.

What can you find in the Peace Garden?

Katsura Tree, Cercidiphyllum japonicum
Known for its striking fall foliage. It’s hear-shaped leaves turn a gorgeous bright yellow and emit a sweet fragrance reminiscent of cotton candy. Native to Japan and China, this specimen tree can be either male or female.

Gazebo
Set amid the lovely seasonal blooms of the Peace Garden is our beautiful gazebo. Perfect for weddings, engagements, and photo sessions.

Beech Grove
Our collection of European beeches provides a shady respite on a warm day. Known for their smooth, slate grey bark, these beech species are not susceptible to beech bark disease.

The Rose Garden
The Rose Garden is currently participating in the 2022-2024 American Garden Rose Selections trial. We are growing and testing 17 different rose cultivars.

Stay tuned for updates!
