Plan Your Visit - The Botanical Gardens is open year-round and offers a large indoor conservatory with surrounding grounds. It is accessible and offers plenty of free parking.

The Botanical Gardens consists of many indoor greenhouses that are interconnected.  When you visit the Botanical Gardens you will embark on a self guided tour throughout the greenhouses, each displaying a different exhibit and collection of plants. There are also several seasonal outdoor gardens that are always free and open to the public. Visitors spend anywhere between 45-120+ minutes on their self guided tour.

Etiquette, Equity and Accessibility - The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens welcomes all visitors and is committed to creating an environment free of discrimination and harassment where all individuals are treated with respect. The Botanical Gardens strives to ensure that its collection, facilities, and programming are inclusive and accessible in order to provide a successful and engaging experience for all audiences. Click on Accessibility above to find out more.

Service Animals - Service animals are permitted inside the Botanical Gardens. A service animal is a working animal, not a pet. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a service animal as any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. Dogs that satisfy this definition are considered service animals under the ADA.  All other pets are not permitted inside the Botanical Gardens but are welcome to walk the surrounding park leashed by their responsible and respectful owners.

Year-Round
Arts Services Inc.'s Arts Access program aims to break the barriers of inaccessibility to the region's arts and culture sector. These barriers often include money, transportation, and knowledge of events. They partner with local theaters, galleries, and other arts and culture organizations to offer free or reduced-cost opportunities to low-income Western New York residents and their families. Arts Services Inc. envisions a region where anyone can engage with the arts. To learn more about the program, visit www.arts-access.org
