Plan the perfect start to your date night with this fun floral design workshop. Participants are encouraged to work on an arrangement either individually or with a partner. All fresh materials and design bowl are provided. You may wish to bring a box for transporting your arrangement. Flowers will be based on seasonal availability.  

*Please note, ticket price includes supplies for one floral arrangement. Indicate how many people will be working on the arrangement at registration.  

Masks -Masks are not required at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens. Please be considerate of others' health and safety when visiting the Botanical Gardens. Keep your distance from others, stay home if you are sick and wear a mask if it makes you feel most comfortable.

Class Information and Procedures 

Meet your instructor Kristy Schmitt

Kristy is a familiar face around the Botanical Gardens! Having been a long-standing workshop instructor and lecturer for a wide variety of programs both at the Botanical Gardens in her past role as the Director of Education and in the local community as a speaker for libraries, garden clubs and other community groups. Kristy works as a horticulturist for Tripi's Landscaping and is a Certified Nursery and Landscape Professional. She is a fun and super energetic instructor that exudes a love of plants. 

Her background is in Science Education with a MS from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Forest Biology with a focus on Natural History Interpretation from SUNY-ESF. Kristy has a fascination for mosses and trees, and will geek out with anyone about plants. She is extremely knowledgeable about the natural world and loves to share her passion with her daughter, Linden.
