June 1, 10:00 am - August 5, 4:00 pm
Cost: Included with admission
The conservatory is a canvas that our horticulturists have painted into stunning landscapes and designs through the use of a variety of techniques like color blocking, dimension building, texture variation, patterning, and color theory. Visitors will enjoy the artistic design and expression and learn more about the horticultural possibilities when it comes to landscapes and plant displays. Bold, bright plants like caladiums, anthuriums, begonias, coleus, succulents, cala lilies and so much more will be sorted and arranged into bunches of color to create a beautiful design or pattern. This exhibit may even inspire visitors to use some of these techniques at home to create artfully designed gardens of their own.
There’s no better way to welcome summer than with a sunny day inside the colorful conservatory! Visitors are also encouraged to go on a rainbow adventure and complete an interactive scavenger hunt. As spring fades, enjoy a tropical vacation at the Botanical Gardens!
