Plan a Botanical Birthday Party at the Gardens!

Whether life is crazy busy or not, that day rolls around every year – it’s your child’s birthday and you’re faced with the dilemma of how to celebrate it in a meaningful, memorable way that won’t cost a fortune and will require minimal effort. Well…why not celebrate that special day at the Botanical Gardens surrounded by beauty and serenity, while the children participate in fun hands-on activities led by our education staff?

Parties are for kids ages 5-12 and there is a minimum of eight children including the birthday child. 
Four specific party themes and related activities are available:

Enchanted Garden - includes Fairy Garden planting crafts and take-home fairy crowns or gnome hat.
Dinosaur Safari - includes Dinosaur Terrarium planting crafts and the use of dinosaur tail costume pieces for the duration of the party.
Rainforest Adventure - includes Terrarium planting crafts and take-home rainforest animal masks.
Desert Discovery - includes Desert Dish with Succulent planting crafts and take-home desert safari vests.

Parties typically take place on Saturday afternoons from 2-4pm.

Children will either create and decorate a wearable costume piece or ready-made costume pieces will be provided by the education staff. The costume pieces included with the Dinosaur Safari party themes are ready-made and may be used for the duration of the party. The costume pieces included with the Enchanted Garden, Rainforest Adventure and Desert Discovery are take-home pieces created and decorated by the children.

Depending on the theme, children will participate in a hands-on activity that include a take-home planting craft.

Afterwards, the party is given a mini-tour of the Gardens followed by some playtime in the Wegmans Family Garden. The final hour of the party is reserved for food, cake and presents.

We’ll take care of the set-up and clean-up. Catering is available through Buffalo’s Best.

    • $200 for 15 children and 10 adults
    • Additional children are $10 each (up to 25)
    • Additional adults are $7 each
    • 10% discount for members
    • There is a non-refundable $25 deposit applicable to the cost of the party only
