Visitor Amenities
From the Gift Shop to the Gallery, we provide a comfortable experience from start to finish.
Our historic conservatory spanning nearly 22,000 square feet features an abundance of interesting features to maintain the environments in which our plant collections thrive.
- Climate sensitive ventilation system: Our greenhouses feature sensors that detect outdoor temperatures, wind speeds, and precipitation, automatically adjusting the glass vents to control the climate within each greenhouse.
- Liquid Shade: Have you ever wondered why our glass looks “dirty”? The glass is actually coated in a paint-like substance called Liquid Shade. This is to help keep the greenhouses from getting too warm inside and to prevent the sun from burning our plants and visitors.
Our Gift Shop offers a unique selection of gifts from many local artists that encourage visitors to connect with nature. Whether it is an educational toy for your little one, gardening books for your designing needs, or a live plant, there’s something exciting for everyone to take home a piece of the Botanical Gardens!
Our inventory changes seasonally so visit often, and remember Botanical Gardens’ members receive 10% off gift shop purchases.
Among the greenhouses, visitors can also enjoy an unexpected treat of an incredible diverse selection of artwork and artists that reflect the Botanical Gardens’ core values, inspiration of nature, and a passion for plants, people, places, and our planet. The gallery is open to the public daily during regular business hours and is accessible to all guests during after-hours events. The gallery is home to a variety of artists, near and far, specializing in a wide range of media.
