Accessible Terrarium Workshop

Now booking for Spring 2027! This program will be available starting March 2027.

Our Terrarium Workshop is a perfect activity for human services agencies, nursing homes, group homes and self-contained classrooms! Participants will learn about what plants need to grow and discover the workings of the water cycle while creating the perfect habitat for a tropical plant. This miniature ecosystem is fun to create, easy to care for and easy to transport home. Admission to the Botanical Gardens, as well as a self-guided scavenger hunt and time to explore our plant collections are included.

Cost: $15 per participant, required aides and personal care attendants are admitted free.

Group Size: minimum of 5 people, maximum of 30 per day

Accessible Guided Tour

Enjoy an adapted guided tour of the Botanical Gardens led by trained staff and docents! Embark on 45-minute journey select greenhouses highlighting many of the wondrous plants in our 124 year old conservatory. Take a deep dive into our collections, their history, science, and fascinating facts along the way!

Cost: $12 per person, required aides and personal care attendants are admitted free

Group Size: Minimum of 8 participants, maximum of 30 participants per day

Accessible Discovery Visit

This special group visit rate is available to human services agencies and educational programs that support individuals with disabilities. Visitors are free to explore the beautiful plant collections at their own pace. Scavenger hunts are available upon request to add to the fun!

Cost: $9.00 per participant, required aides and personal care attendants are admitted free.

Group Size: Minimum of 5 participants.

Reservations are required for all programs. Please reserve your programs at least three weeks in advance of the desired program date.
