Holiday Family Fun Announced at the Botanical Gardens!

Admissions General

Buffalo, NY - The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens announced that their annual Poinsettia and Railway Exhibit will run November 23 through January 6.  They also announced that Santa’s Workshop will be held on December 8 and a Dollar Admission Day will take place on December 27 to celebrate the holiday season.

The whole family will enjoy the Botanical Gardens’ annual holiday tradition, the Poinsettia and Railway Exhibit.  This stunning Poinsettia exhibit includes over 1,000 beautiful poinsettias, woodland holiday decorations and some playful surprises.  Poinsettias are native to Mexico and are often found in tropical forests. There are over 100 different cultivated varieties of poinsettias that come in a spectrum of colors.  A Garden Railway display, that is made possible by the Western New York Garden Railway Society, complements the surrounding poinsettias. Kids and adults will enjoy the Poinsettia and Railway Exhibit November 23 through January 6 from 10:00am until 5:00pm daily.

Santa Claus is coming to the Botanical Gardens on December 8 from 10:00am until 4:00pm for Santa’s Workshop.  Visits with Santa, holiday themed hands-on activities, a fun self-guided scavenger hunt and more will be included with Santa’s Workshop.  Photo prints with Santa will also be available for $5 each. Stanta’s Workshop is sponsored by Wegmans.

Admission tickets to the Poinsettia and Railway Exhibit and Santa’s Workshop are included in Botanical Gardens’ Admission; $11 for adults, $10 for seniors (62+), $9 for students (13+), $6 for kids 3-12, Garden Members and kids two and under are free.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.buffalogardens.com or at the door.

Stop by the Botanical Gardens during the holiday break from school and on December 27 for Dollar Admission Day from 10am-5pm.  Admission is only $1 (Gardens’ members and kids 2 and under are always free) and tickets can be purchased at the door.

A friendly reminder, the Botanical Gardens will be closed November 19-22 to create some holiday magic!
