Meet the artist, Susan Palys!
I am a local WNY artist inspired by nature, creating landscape and floral paintings that offer moments of renewal. My goal is to guide viewers on a journey where time feels suspended and emotions emerge. My process begins with nature walks, capturing textures, colors, and light. Using a mix of water media, textures, and layers, I create pieces that evoke mood and a sense of place.
Drawing from my surroundings, I let spontaneous brushstrokes guide me, often working on multiple pieces at once to let the artworks evolve naturally. The freedom to experiment makes each painting a unique journey, often leading to unexpected, meaningful results.
When viewers connect with the emotional energy or feel immersed in the scene, I’ve succeeded.
