WNY Rose Society Presentation

October 19, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Cost: Free

Closing the Rose Garden and Planning and Buying for Next Year

Now is the time to prepare your rose garden for winter and start planning for the upcoming year, and there’s no better group to learn from than the expert rosarians from the WNY Rose Society! Whether you currently have a rose garden or you want to learn how to get started, this free, hour long class is the perfect place to start. Learn how experienced rosarians trim back most roses and safeguard them from the freeze/thaw cycle, a crucial step to ensuring roses survive Buffalo’s winter. Plus, discover possible changes you can make for next season by assessing what didn’t thrive, or learn about the best varieties to get started with.

This free presentation will be led by Master Rosarian Steve Styn in the Botanical Gardens’ Community Room, located in our Admin Building.
