The striking and unusual appearance of succulent plants is what makes the Succulent Exhibit a visitor favorite at the Botanical Gardens. This year, the exhibit will feature thousands of cacti and succulents displayed in very unique ways throughout the conservatory. Succulents come in all different shapes and sizes and have unique textures with a mix of fantastic colors. These characteristics inspired the horticulture staff and volunteers to create living interpretations of modern art from artists such as James Ensor, Franz Marc and Josef Albers. This much anticipated exhibit also highlights extremely creative ways to display these charming plants including; a giant cobra, turtles and other creatures made of succulents. The Succulent Exhibit will be on display at the Botanical Gardens September 3 through October 2 from 10am to 5pm daily (with the exception of September 30 as the Botanical Gardens will be closed that day).
