Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is an inspiring place to learn about horticulture. Horticulture I, a Horticulture Certificate Series, will start September 8 and run through October 20. These classes are two hours long from 11am through 1pm and will be taught by Horticulturist and Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional (CNLP), David Clark. David creates a very lively and energetic atmosphere for both novice and advanced gardeners.
David Clark, Horticulturist and CNLP, returns to the Botanical Gardens to teach enlightening Horticulture Certificate Programs, starting with Horticulture I. David is a dynamic instructor with a wealth of knowledge. He is fast becoming one of the country’s noted garden speakers. His classes are very popular as he conveys subject matter with infectious enthusiasm. These classes are great for beginners who would like to learn more about gardening as well as for experts looking to refine their skills.
Horticulture I includes six classes and topics in this series include: Botany 101 on September 8; Plant Propagation on September 15; Pest Management and Disease on September 29; Shrubs and Trees (includes a tree tour) on October 6; Annuals and Perennials on October 13 and Garden Design on October 20.
Classes will be held Saturdays from 11:00am through 1:00pm and participants are welcome to enroll in a full series for a certificate or for individual classes to brush up on skills. Classes are held in the administration building located on the Botanical Gardens’ campus. Tuition for Horticulture I is $108 per series or $18 for individual classes for Botanical Gardens’ members, $138 per series or $23 for individual classes for the General Public.
